Taking Effective Action Teams up With Health Experts
to Launch Nov. 14 Virtual Health Symposium
Bowie, Md.—Taking Effective Action, Inc.® (TEA) is pleased to work with Love AME Church and a number of partners to host its 2020 Health and Wellness Symposium. The Nov. 14 event aims to raise awareness about chronic diseases, like breast cancer and HIV/AIDS. Renowned health experts will share their insight on disease prevention through nutrition, fitness, precision medicine, and evidence-based medicine resources.
“With COVID-19 still a concern, living a healthy lifestyle is more important than ever,” said Dr. Patricia Davidson, a private practice cardiologist and internist in Washington, D.C. “Those with obesity, hypertension, heart failure, and diabetes may be at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19.”
The symposium, held virtually this year, gives attendees a chance to connect with health experts and get their questions answered from the comfort of their home. Other activities include a cooking demo, music, prizes and more. Admission is free and open to the public. Attendees will receive a secure Zoom invitation via email to join.
The 2020 Health and Wellness Symposium is Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST. Register online. To learn more, call 240-394-8327 or e-mail: info@t-action.org.
